What to Expect
If you’ve been inspired by BBC2′s Great British Sewing Bee, have a new sewing machine or dusted off the sewing machine in the back of the cupboard, you are ready for our sewing courses. There are so many things which can be made using a needle and thread, either with or without a sewing machine. There are many different courses to attend where you can learn to sew and try out some new techniques. Our classes cover all levels of ability.
Classes are held in our workshop behind Bloomsbury Kitchens showroom, the space is bright, interruption free and private. Class size a maximum of 6 students for courses. Enjoy the sanctuary of a calm environment to have two hours of me time a week!
Janome machines are available, if you don’t have your own machine – please mention this on booking.
Some students like to learn on their own machine so they can sew in between classes. Please ensure that your machine is in good working order and that you have the items on the supplies list as well as the items you need to make your first project. You will have your own desk space and room to cut out your pattern as well as access to iron & ironing board and kitchen.
Please arrive in plenty of time so that the class can start on time. We will have coffee and cake/biscuits for you and will have 10 minutes at the end of the class to discuss what you will need for next class. If you have something specific you would like to make please bring all the information along with you to your first class.
We will confirm your booking via email, giving you all the information that you will need for your first class and details on how to find us.
We are located 8 minutes drive from Crawley town centre and there is ample parking on the drive and road in front of our premises.
