Courses
Bobbin sewing room is very well equipped, we have sewing machines but if you would like to bring your own sewing machine to learn on and your own fabric you are welcome to.
Feel free to contact me if you are unsure which course is the one for you.
Please note courses run for four weeks and workshops are a one day event. The bottom of this page shows some of the courses and workshops on offer including the Christmas ones, we can cater for group and private bookings as well.

Sewing for Beginners/Refresher Course
If you have a new sewing machine, new to sewing, or if you have had a bad experience before, this is the course for you. You will learn how to set up, thread and use a sewing machine, and put your new skills into use by making a small cushion, zip and cushion pad included. You will then go on to make a lined tote bag. Adult and Child beginners Course
This is a three day course running on three consecutive days, two hours per day. Adult must be over the age of 21 and take full responsibility for the child. Click here for more information.
The Myth of Commercial Patterns and Dressmaking Course
The course starts with the myth of commercial patterns – this evening is dedicated to eliminating the fear of commercial patterns, making the purchase of materials for the dressmaking course a little easier. This course is for you if you have attended our Bobbin beginners course or know the basics of using a sewing machine. This is a course where my small class sizes really make all the difference. Dressmaking Course - Advanced
This course is for you if you are confident using a sewing machine or have attended our dressmaking course. You will use a commercial pattern and make a shift dress, with helpful tips along the way, this is a course where my small class sizes really make all the difference. Click here for more information
